Hey there. Well this week is mid-term for the first nine weeks of school. Please watch for mid-term reports to be coming home by the end of the week.

Please keep Kade in your prayers this week as he is having his surgery on Tuesday. He will be returning home in about a week.

Science Fair:
This week, we will begin looking for a science fair project. Remember, science fair experiments should demonstrate something measurable. We must be able to graph our results! We will be discussing that this week as well.

Homework: Some 4-6 graders are having extreme difficulty getting their schoolwork in on time. As a result, they are missing their recess time, and fun activities, such as the pep assemblies. These events are very fun for the kids to attend. Please check with your child nightly to see if they have homework. Your child should not have very much homework, as we all give class time to work on assignments. Mrs. Chariter, Mrs, Weigum, and I also are at school everyday afterschool helping with LEAP. If your child is not getting their homework done please consider enrolling your student in the LEAP afterschool program to help them to get the assisstance that they need.

Hey there! Wow...only 2 days until school is back in session! Boy, did that summer just fly by?!

First, I would like to welcome Kyle and Patrick to the sixth grade class! It is going to be an amazing year!

I am going to do my best by posting weekly this year! I am going to try to post weekly assignments so that you will know what is going on during the week and when upcoming due dates will be happening!

Fifth and sixth graders will be doing science fair again this year. We will be having our second annual science fair in January! We will begin picking projects around the second week of September. Start thinking now! It is going to be so much fun!!!

End of Year

Holy Cow! Only 12 days left of school! Can you believe it????

Well, we have a ton of things going on.

First, on May 13th, the elementary will be putting on their spring program. Please have students here by 6:20pm as the show will begin at 6:30. Also, the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are required to bring a dozen cookies for the show. Thanks parents! You are the best.

Next, the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are still learning a ton in Science. The fourth graders will be finishing up their planetary chapter this week, and testing next week. We will be spending the remainder of the year researching different planets. Next, the 5th graders are also studying space. They are currently writing reports on an assigned constellation. These reports are due on Friday, May 14th, before they leave on their field trip. I will be handing out Study Guides to them on Thursday, which will be due on Monday. We will correct them and review for the test which is to be held on Tuesday of next week. We will finish the last chapter of the book in the following days and completing some group work. Finally, the sixth graders are studying motion and Newton's laws. We will be finishing the chapter by the end of next week or the beginning of the last week.

In reading, the last day to turn in the fourth AR book is on May 21. This is also the last day that I will let students collect points for the Banana Split party that will be held on May 26th. Right now, 4 of our 9 students have earned the party! Way to go Dan, Felicia, Cami, and John!

In social studies, we are working on PowerPoint presentations. Each students is creating a presentation over an assigned chapter. They have been working hard. This assignment is due on May 18th along with the workbook pages that go with that chapter.

As of right now, the float trip that I originally scheduled for May 26th, I am trying to reschedule. I will let you know as soon as I know anything. We will not need chaperones on this trip due to limited space.

Thank you parents for all you do for your children. You are awesome. We have had a wonderful year. Thank you for allowing me to be your childs' teacher!

Spring is in the Air!

Wow! Only five and a half weeks left of school. Can you believe it? What a great year it has been. There is lots of buzz in the air, the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming. Isn't it beautiful.

In science we are wrapping up the year. Fifth and sixth grade will be completeing two more discovery labs for the year. We will be finishing up our books as well.

In social studies, the sixth graders will be completeing a PowerPoint presentation over one preselected chapter in their social studies books. They have until May 18th to complete this project. How exciting. Please look for the rubric to come home early next week.

In English, we are practicing our parts of speech and our writing skills. The students are doing great. What great imaginations. Mrs. Darko will enjoy them next year!

Wow! What a great Science Fair. The kids did an amazing job!!! I am so proud of each and every one of their efforts! The kids all looked nice and fancy in their dress clothes. The judges were very impressed with each and everyone of them. Unfortunately, the judges had to narrow it down to the top five overall. Students who made it to the second round were................

Brynn Hofland with her project entitled "Sweet and Low." She compared which sugars tasted the best in cookies - Splenda vs Powdered Sugar.

Peyton Vining with her project entitled "Laundry Day." She compared which laundry detergents took stains out the best.

Daniel Olson with his project entitled "Diet Riot." He compared which soda's would sink the furthest in water - Diet Soda's vs Regular Soda's.

Danielle Betts with her project entitled "Clumzzy Vacuumzz." She wanted to see which vacuum sucked up the most dirt.

Felicia Sappington with her project entitled "The Fingerprint Mystery." She studied fingerprints to see if they were hereditary.

Carson Davidson with his project entitled "Pop Fizz." He studied the effects of mentos in a variety of soda pop.

And the top five winners were........................

Hello! Science Fair is tomorrow! Can you believe it! The kids are sooooo ready to do this. We have been preparing for this day since September! I think they are going to do a great job! Science Fair is just around the corner. The fifth and sixth graders will be finishing their Science Fair projects next week in preparation for our First Annual Science Fair. The students have done AMAZING work. They are so excited to show you what they have done! Please come by on February 3 between 9 and 11 am. We will see you there!!!

January Updates

Hello everyone. Can you believe the year is nearly half over? It is just amazing how fast this year has gone. With all this snow it is hard to imagine that summer will be here before we know it.

Sixth grade updates:
We just finished listening to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We will having a chocolate party on Thursday, January 14th: 1:30 - 3:10: Students will need to bring a chocolaty treat to share with the class on that day while we watch the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Social Studies: We have been studying Greece in Social Studies. We have learned about the Greek contributions to society today. We will be enjoying their food on January 19th. Students will bring a Greek dish for lunch on this day. A recipe will need to be submitted for our annual Greek Cookbook. Please watch for more information to come home within the next week.

Ice-Fishing: We will be going ice-fishing on January 28th to East Fork Reservoir by Lewistown. Please watch for further information in the coming weeks.

Computer Class: Sixth graders will begin taking computers 4 days a week beginning January 17th. Please encourage your child to practice their keyboarding skills, as there is a lot of report typing in computers this year. You may see an increase in homework due to the loss of class time.

5th and 6th Grade Science Fair:
We are currently finishing up our science fair projects. We will begin assembling the boards by the end of January. I am looking at holding the school science fair in early February. I will let you know as soon as I can. Report covers need to be at school no later than January 15th. Thank you for your support.

Well, well, well.

Where do I begin. First, I would like to thank everyone for their hard work completing Science Fair experiments. I know it was a lot of work, but I will handle the rest. Over the next couple weeks, we will be working on our computer work creating tables and graphs, as well as reports. Please remember that report covers are due January 4th. I will keep you posted as to when we will holding a school science fair. Thank you again for helping your child get this project finished.

Next, sixth grade will be working on a snow village on December 15. Today, we assigned buildings and candy. The building are made of frosting covered cardboard ice cream containers. Please eat a 1/2 gallon of ice-cream and send your clean, empty carton to school. I have also sent a recipe for the frosting. This is the recipe we use becuase it works great. Store bought frosting does not work. Ice-cream containers and candy need to be to school by Dec. 11. I would like the students to bring the frosting to school on the fifteenth. We will be decorating at 1:30 on Dec. 15. I encourage all parents to join us.

5th graders will be having a science test on Friday. We did our study guides today. We will review on Thursday and test Friday.

Hey there. Boy it's been over a week since my last confession...Ha Ha Ha.

Anyway, where should I begin?

First, sixth and fourth graders will be having a science tests early next week. Fourth graders will be on Tuesday. Sixth graders test will be Wednesday.

Parent Teacher Conferences are on Tuesday and Thursday of next week. The scheduled times should be coming home soon. Please watch for that in your children's backpacks.

Book Report Cards: Due Thursday, November 5

Please check the dates of AR Due dates in your child's homework folders. Students should be reading their first AR book for the second quarter by tomorrow October 29th.

Wow! Can you believe that it is almost report card time. That's right! Parent Teacher Conferences are the first week of November. Watch for those notes to come home.

Sixth graders will be making Lure's for fishing on Tuesday afternoon. This will be so much fun! Parents please feel free to come and participate with your child. Lure Making begins at 1:30. See you there.

Fifth graders will be having a test late this week or early next week. I will keep you posted.

Fourth graders will be having a take home test on Ecosystems. Please watch for this on Monday. It will be due on Friday, October 23, 2009.

School Mall Fundraiser

Hello all,

Kindergarten - Sixth grade is participating in the school mall fundraier. These booklets need to come back by October 12th. Please fill them out with the addresses of all of your friends and relatives. It would be greatly appreciated. Students who fill out the entire book will receive a glow ring. Students who fill out a partial book will receive a glow bracelet. This is a quick and easy fundraiser with NO direct selling. It is also a great way to let friends and relatives know that you are thinking of them.

Additional books are available for those people who have a ton of friends and relatives! Please contact your child's teacher!

Students will have science homework on this night...because we will be very busy experimenting and collecting data that they will have to complete it at home. Students will have until Friday to turn in their lab notebooks completed.

Science Fair information: 5th and 6th Grade students should be looking and thinking about a hypothesis taht they want to discover for science fair. We will be going to the lab for 20 minutes on Wednesday to research and a hard copy is due on September 23rd. This is going to be fun!!

Hello everyone.

Well we are off and running in a great NEW school year. Just a couple of updates for you.

Wednesday, September 2: Parochial Basketball practice 6-7:30pm. There is also a booster club meeting at 6pm. Come and join the fun...

Thursday, September 3: Junior High Football game is in Cascade. The boys will be eating dinner in the Teen Center. Cost is $5.00 to eat. They will then head to Cascade for their 7:00 game.

Friday, September 4: Junior High Volleyball is at 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, ans 6:00. Come and show your support for our volleyball players!!!

Monday, September 7: NO SCHOOL - - - - LABOR DAY!!!

Back to School Information

Hey there!!!

The days are summer are coming to an end. Only 8 more days and we shall meet again. Just wanted to give you a heads up on all the new and exciting things I have planned for the school year.

First, Science Fair. All students 4th - 6th grade will bwe participating in Science Fair this year. We will begin thinking about our procjects in early September. Parents, please encourage your child to start thinking about what type of project they would like to do. Students will be doing ALL of the experimenting at home. We will be doing ALL of the research, writing and assembling at school. Science Fair Boards will need to be purchased by the end of November or early December.

Next, we will be doing a Discovery Lab in Science class twice a month. This is a chance for your child to discover something new and find out the why behind it. Please look for this notebook to come home and see what your child has discovered....IT WILL BE AMAZING!!!

Sixth Grade updates:
I have done away with assignment books however, I will be keeping track of homework folders daily. Students are required to have this signed nightly by you, the parents. I use this tool to let parents know what is going on in their son or daughters academic career. I also use this to help students to be organized...especially for junior high school. It is required to be filled out daily and signed nightly. Please help your child to remember to bring this folder back to school everyday.

I would also like to welcome our two new students: Camille Brandt and Angel Nadeau. We are looking forward to having you in our class!!!!

Well, it is that time of year. What a great year this has been.

Final thoughts:
AR points: 6th graders who earned 50 AR points or more this year will be celebrating with a Sundae party during the last week of school. The cut off date for the points is May 27th. This is also the last day for their 4th AR books to be turned in. Keep on reading. You can do it!!!!

4th Grade Science: We have begun learning in the fifth grade science books. We will be having one final test this year. Please look for the study guide towards the 21st or 22nd.

5th Grade Science: We are working on our final chapter of the year as well. We, too, will be testing during the last week of school to finish up. Keep your heads up....we are almost done!

6th grade Science: We will be reading and discussing the final chapters in our Science books, however, we will NOT be taking anymore tests this year. Great job sixth graders!!!!

6th grade Social Studies: We will begin talking about the French Revolution and be doing some independent study.

Daily Oral Language and Daily Oral Geography: Students who receive a 74% or better this week will not have to do anymore DOL or DOG this year. Take your time and do your best!!!!

Music Concert is Tuesday, May 19th at 6:30pm. Students must arrive in their classrooms by 6:15. Students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades are asked to please bring one dozen cookies each to enjoy after the performance. Remember to wear nice clothes and look your best.

Finally, thank you to Rex Rigor and Mark Emerson for volunteering to go on our float trip. We are going to have a blast.

Float Trip Details: 2009

DATE: May 27, 2009

LOCATION:
Normal launch site is the Craig Fishing Access site on the Missouri river in the town of Craig.
There are restroom facilities at the launch, take out, and lunch locations.

AGENDA:
After the kids get unloaded and use the restrooms, we get everyone fit for life jackets. We’ll do a short orientation and safety talk, then get launched. Lunches remain on the bus.
The first leg of the float is about 40 minutes, with one stop at some islands to talk about the river, fish, and wildlife.
We continue floating to the Stickney Creek access site where the bus meets us, and we eat lunch.
After lunch, we float another couple miles down to the Mid-Cannon Fishing access site located near the Dearborn Inn.
Actual float time is dependant upon river flows, wind speed & direction, and paddling effort of the kids.

SAFETY:
Life jackets are mandatory for everyone on the trip at all times except when eating lunch.
Swimming from the rafts is not allowed.

LUNCH & CLOTHING
Kids need to dress for conditions, and plan on having wet feet. Sandals are the best choice- regular shoes will be wet for sure. Cowboy boots = bad idea.
Kids should also bring a backpack with a change of clothes to leave on the bus if they need to change at the end of the trip.
Kids provide their own lunch.
No garbage cans available, everything is pack in – pack out.

SUPPLIES
FWP will provide the rafts, life jackets, & paddles.
Raingear, hat, sunglasses & sunscreen is a good idea.

CANCELLATIONS
If the weather is really bad that day, its up to the teachers to cancel- FWP wont cancel due to poor weather
If the river is unsafe for some reason, then FWP will cancel the trip.

Well, well, well....look at me go. I am blogging again this week. Thanks Brian for getting me back on the ball.

CRT testing is going on this week. Please get your children to bed early so that they can get plenty of rest. Also, a good breakfast will help their thinkers as well!

All science classes will begin new chapters next week.

End of quarter is Friday, March 20.

Remember sixth grader ball players are counted in the eligiblity...let's keep those grades up so we can play ball!

March Madness

Hey there.

Well it has been a real long time since I have posted here!!!

Let's lots of happenings:

6th Grade:

Novel Study: We just finished reading Tuck Everlasting. We are currently watching the movie. At the end, we will be comparing and contrasting the book and the movie.

Science: We are now studying matter. We will be testing next week (March 10). We will then begin working on CRT practice next week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Social Studies: We are working on country reports and doing them APA style. The students are doing great. We will be finishing up these reports next week and presenting them. They are going to be awesome!!!

5th Grade Science:

We are studying matter. We will be testing next week towards the end. Please look for the study guides.

4th Grade Science:

We are studying space...Inner and Outer planets. The kids are having a great time. We will be testing soon as well. Date still to be determined.

Field Trips:
March 17th: 4th, 5th, 6th will be attending the symphony. The students really enjoyed the last trip.

Happy New Year!!!!

Wowzers!!!! Can you believe that it is 2009 already. Only 5 months to go until school is out!!!! That is amazing. Boy, is there a lot going on here at school. A couple changes to mention first.

Beginning, January 19th, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders will be switching classes for Reading, Science and Math instead of English, Science and Math. Mrs. Chartier, Mrs. Weigum, and Mr. Gerke and I felt this change was necessary because students were not getting enough time for reading during the regular school day. This is going to be a great change for the students. I can't wait.

Science Fair: As this is my first year teaching science, and much discussion with Mrs. Perry, Mrs. Chartier, Mrs. Weigum and I, we have decided to make Science Fair optional for all classes 4th grade through 6th grade. Next year, I hope to make it mandatory for sixth grade at least. Your children will be allowed to work on Science Fair on Tuesday's and Wednesday's during LEAP. Students do not have to be members of LEAP to participate. I would strongly encourage all the students to participate; however it is optional. The Great Falls Science Fair will be held on Saturday, February 21st. I am sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused.

4th Graders will be having a test on Friday, January 9th over weather and the water cycle. Please watch for the study guide on Tuesday, January 6th. We will be working on this in class on Wednesday. We will play a review game on Thursday and test on Friday.

5th Graders started a new chapter today over ecosystems. They will be having a test next Friday (January 16th)

6th Graders will continue to study Plate Tectonics. I will let you know when their test is. Tuesday, January 13th, 6th graders will need to bring a plain t-shirt of any color. We will be doing fish art on the shirts. All colors work great. If you plan on purchasing a new shirt, please wash before you bring it in. Christmas is coming

Good day everyone.

Well Christmas break is fast approaching.

Upcoming Events:
December 19th: Early Out 1:00pm
January 16th is the End of Quarter, Report Cards go out Week of January 19th
January 13th: Fish Art: 6th Grade students will need to bring a pre-washed T-Shirt to paint fish on. Any color will be great. Must be washed if it is brand new.
January 29th: Fish Jeopardy from Montana Fish and Wildlife.

After Christmas 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade will be working on Science Fair projects. All projects will be due on January 16th. Please work with your child to complete his or her experiments at home. We will be doing the reports here at school.

Students will need a tri-fold display board by Friday, January 9th. If you are not able to provide a board, please contact me at 736-5167 ext. 243 or via email at jamieb@centerville.k12.mt.us

Good day all,

Well, here I am updating the blog after 3 weeks. My, my, how time flies when your having fun. I just can't keep up with keeping you up to date with the happenings in 6th Grade and Science. Where shall I begin...............

Well, tonight boys parochial have a game at Holy Spirit at 6:00. Good Luck Boys!!!

6th - We had a science test yesterday, and everyone did a great job. We are beginning our new chapter today on ecosystems. We have been studying Egypt in Social Studies. Their King Tut projects are due Monday. Let's get those finished, so we can move on. We are nearing the end of the chapter so we will be having a test comeing up soon.

5th Grade - We finished up Chapter 17 today. We will be testing next Wednesday over that. Please look for the Study Guide to come home on Monday. We will grade it on Tuesday, and we will test on Wednesday.

4th Grade - We have been learning about the human body. The class has been working very hard. I really think they are enjoying it! We will be wrapping up the chapter next week, and having a test the following week. There will be a bones test on Tuesday, November 18th. Please study.

Come in and vote for your favorite Turkey from teh sixth grade. They worked very hard on them, and boy do they look great. Voting ends on Thursday, November 13th at 8:30 pm.

Supplies:
Sixth graders need new colored pencils, markers, scissors, glue sticks and sticky notes. The class is low on kleenex too, if you could please send a box. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Parent Teacher Conferences: Thanks to all the parents who came in and visited with me. I truly love to discuss your children. I look forward to the meetings I have tonight. If you have not had the opportunity to come in and visit with me about your child and science please set up a time with me. We can get together at your earliest convenience.

Happy Fall Y'All!

Wow! Can you believe it? October is already here. Here is some upcoming deadlines and events:

End of quarter is October 31. Sixth graders must have read at least 2- 100 page books, or 1 - 200 page book, or read 12 points. Please read at home nightly to accomplish this goal. Next nine weeks will be a 4 chapter book requirement in nine weeks.

Fourth Grade Science News: We will be having a take home assessment on Ecosystems. I will send this home on Monday, October 13th. It will be due back to school on Tuesday, October 21st. Parents, please remember that this is the students assessment on what they have learned. Help them to find materials to complete the assessment, or tell you what they need. They will know exactly what to do, and what is expected. Please note, any assessments turned in after October 21st will receive a points off for every day that it is late. Thanks for helping your children get this assignment done and in on time. Bonus points will be given for early turn in.

Fifth Grade Science News: We have just finished our notes on Chapter 3, Human Body Systems. We will finish up the activities for the chapter and begin our study guide on Friday, and they will have to be done by Monday. We will grade our study guides on Monday, and review. Tuesday will be the test as it is early out on Wednesday and we won't be together again until October 20th.

Sixth Grade Science News: Sixth grade has been studying Reproduction. Thursday, Oct. 9th we will finish our notes, and work on the Chapter Review. I will hand out a study guide tomorrow for homework. It will be due on Monday. We will correct it and there will be a test on Wednesday 10/15)

Social Studies: Today, we finished our notes on Chapter 2 and worked on our chapter review. Tomorrow, we will work on our Study Guide and correct it on Friday. We will be testing over the Fertile Crescent on Tuesday.

4th, 5th and 6th Grade Science Fair:
In the coming weeks, we will begin working on Science Fair. Fourth grade will be working with a partner as they learn together. Fifth and sixth grade will be working independently on their project. Please begin thinking of science fair ideas. It is going to be a fun learning experience for all students involved.

It is time for the fourth, fifth, and sixth graders to start thinking about a science fair project. I will be discussing this information and sending home more information; hopefully by the end of the week. Please help you children to start thinking about what they might want to learn about. It is going to be a great learning experience for everyone.

What a busy week!!!

Monday, Sept. 22, the 5th and 6th grade girls played against Holy Spirit. The girls played a hard game!

Tuesday, Sept. 23 the junior high boys had a football game in Stanford and brought home a victory.

Wednesday, Sept. 24 the 5th and 6th grades both had a science test over chapter 2. We will begin Chapter 3 this week. The 5th graders will begin learning about the human body and it's systems. The 6th graders will begin learning about reproduction and DNA.

Tomorrow, Thursday, we have a normal day of education planned. The 5th and 6th grade girls will have a game at Centerville at 6 and 7pm. Please come out and show your support.

Friday, Sept. 26th, we will be attending a program in the gym with Native American Drummers. It sounds like it is going to be a BLAST! Sixth grade will also have a class meeting on Friday afternoon. Please remind them to wear their bully T-Shirts that day.

Saturday, Sept. 27th, the junior high boys have a football game at 9:30 am. Please come out and support our kids!

LEAP kids are going on a field trip on Tuesday. Please remind your child to get their permission slip turned in so they can go.

Hello everyone. Well we are off to a great start this week.

4th grade will be having their first science test today over chapter 1.

5th grade will begin taking notes in Chapter 2. It is all about cells. They are sure to learn a bunch!

6th grade will be continuing with Chapter 2 about Cells as well. We will be having our Chapter 2 science test sometime next week.

Accelerated Reading is a grade requirement this year for the sixth grade. Options are as follows: 12 points or 2 - 100 page chapter books or 1 - 200 page chapter book. Please encourage your child to read 10 minutes each night.

Good afternoon everyone!

What a great week we have had. We had a huge turn out for Back to School night. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We couldn't have pulled it off without you. Your support is truly appreciated. Again, thank you.

This week, 6th grade had a social studies test today. I expect them to do well. The fifth graders took their first science test today. They did great. They really studied and knew the material.

Fourth grade will be having their first science test on Tuesday, September 16th. I gave them study guides today. They will be due when they come in on Tuesday to take the test. All answers are in their notes, and in their books. We will be playing a review game on Monday, to help prepare them. I am sure that they will do great.

Good Evening Everyone

We are in for a very busy week. Sixth graders are working hard to prepare for their presentations that will be given at Back to School Openhouse on Tuesday, September 9th. Please make arrangements to attend. This is not going to be like any Back To School night you have ever attended. Each child has an individual part. That means, our class is relying on everyone to attend. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm. We will see you there.

Next, sixth grade is going to be having a Social Studies test on Thursday, September 11.

The science test for the fourth grade has been post poned until Tuesday, Septembe 16th.

Sixth grade will be studying cells in Chapter 2.

Junior High Football has their first game on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 9:30am. See you out on the field. Remember to dress warm.

5th and 6th grade girls have a basketball game on Saturday, Sept. 13 as well. Their game will be at 5:00pm in the gym.

What a great week we have been having. I have a great class. The kids are learning so much! Sixth graders have even had a science test already...and they did great. Make sure you tell them what a good job they did.

Coming up:
Tonight, the 5th and 6th girls parochial basketball team have a game in Belt at 6:00pm. Players need to be there by 5:30pm. Please come out and show your support!

Tuesday, September 9th at 6:00pm is a Back To School PTA Open House. This is not just a PTA event. All students Kindergarten - 8th grade will be doing a presentation. We will be providing dinner before the meeting. This is a great opportunity to check out your child's classroom and see what they have been doing. Please come out and show your support for your child and their school.

Wednesday, September 10th is the first day of LEAP. Get those LEAP applications in soon!

Thursday, September 11th 4th and 5th grade will be having their first science test. Please encourage your children to begin studying nightly. I will be handing out study guides on Monday, September 8th. These study guides will help them study. Study guides will be due right before the test on Thursday.

Good afternoon. Wow! It's already Wednesday. I just thought I would drop a line or two and let everyone know how everything is going in Science. All classes are doing great with the transitioning. I am so proud of all them for adapting to this huge change.

Next week, on September 4th, the 6th grade will be having their first Science test over chapter 1. Can you believe it? They are just flying through the information. I believe they will be ready.

4th grade is looking to have their first test on Thursday, Sept. 11th.

5th grade doesn't have one yet...but I will keep you posted.

Back to School Information

Hey there!

As some of you may be aware, we have had a water issue here at the school. Students will be allowed to have bottled water, flavored water or poweraide/gatorade bottles in the classroom. These drinks must have lids on them.

Getting back into the groove of school is always challenging and making it until lunch time can be difficult. To help with that adjustment, I will be allowing students eat a snack, so please feel free to bring one. Of course, healthy snacks are encouraged.

Remember, if you would like to come in Friday, August 22, between 10am - 2pm to drop off supplies and find your desk, please feel free to do so. You will also be able to pick up your fabulous Montana Books.
